Display order of multi-values in a discrete attribute immutable?

Hi,

Is there any programmatic (or other) way of changing the order in which multi-values for a discrete attribute are displayed in the UI? I have tried a number of different ways through MI:Admin and MI:Toolbox to change the order in which the values are displayed, and it always reverts to the original order. This makes me suspect that the order is defined at the SQL level when values are added to the discrete type list.

Multi-value discrete values are intrinsically unordered in Granta MI. The discrete type can be set to "ordered" in the schema, but this is focused on searching (i.e. is this value greater than another value), it doesn't affect the display. It's not even really that the order is defined in SQL, it's just that the order is undefined.

For an attribute type which does allow the order to be maintained, I think you'd have to use either a short text or a tabular attribute.
