How do I use the Vanilla Rich text editor?
This forum is a Vanilla forum, and we USED TO use the Vanilla "rich editor*", however, it can be a little unclear how to use it initially. How do you use it?
*We have moved to using Markdown and a simple ribbon.

Besides the usual "Attach File", " Add Image" buttons on the banner at the bottom, the editor revolves around the little symbol to the left of the editor.
Just click on it to see the wealth of options available to you when typing!
One other tip to be aware of is that you can have inline monospace/code by enclosing it in single backticks. Like this
`monospace`. Finally, you can get additional options by highlighting text.

@James Derrick , How did you get your GIFs to display properly? I have tried several methods, but they appear small and/or do not animate.

NOTE
We have recently switched away from the rich editor to the "Advanced Editor". This provides a simple editing ribbon above posts and should be more intuitive.
Additionally, pure markdown can be used. The comments above are about the Rich Editor Only!0
