I would like to perform a structural analysis of a simple model.

I want to press with force from above and check when contact is made.
However, if you set the force strong, the model will penetrate.
How do I set up contact here?

This forum is specifically for scripting and automation support. For general modeling questions you can visit the Ansys Innovation Space, or contact your local technical support.

The short answer to your question is you can partition the geometry such that you create contacts in the regions that will eventually come into contact, or you can use the general contact technology that searches for contact across the entire model. General contact obviously has smaller setup/prep time, but will take longer to solve in most cases.
