Install RSM Client on Windows Laptop to submit jobs to Azure Cluster
Dear Sir or Madam,
We are trying to help a user to use Ansys RSM Client from a Windows Laptop to be able to submit HPC jobs to an Azure Cycle Cloud HPC System.
He has installed the Client on his Laptop however upon trying to connect we got the error as shown below:
We are not clear what is going in particular it could be:
1) Versions compatibility issue
2) Ports/Firewall issue
3) RSM Server not set properly on the HPC
Can you help us to troubleshoot this?
I look forward to hearing from you and thank you in advance.
Kind regards

Dear all,
We need to provide a user with a functioning RSM Client working on his Windows Laptop to be able to submit jobs to an Azure CycleCloud HPC Cluster that uses SLURM (University of Bath, Nimbus).
He did install the Client, however, when we tried to connect to the HPC system we encountered an error probably due to ports/firewalls/permissions/versions
Others users have been able to use the RSM Client. We got an error as shown in the picture blow:
We are not sure what could be the reason:
**1) Version compatibility
2) Ports/Firewall issues
3) RSM on the server not set properly**
Can you help us to understand how to get the Client working?
I look forward to hearing from you and thank you in advance
Kind regards
