PyDPF throws an error during strain energy computation for cyclic symmetry model
Hi,
I am trying to compute strain energy for a cyclic symmetry model using cyclic_strain_energy() operator. However, it returns the following error:
ansys.dpf.gate.errors.DPFServerException: mapdl::rst::ENG_SE_cyclic:53<-mapdl::rst::ENF_cyclic:65<-cyclic_expansion:71<-ENF:70<-mapdl::rst::ENF:77<-mapdl::rst::ENF<-Element with id 1058 has higher number of elementary data (20) than number of nodes (15). Nodal rotation to global coordinate system using Euler nodes angles can't be achieved, failed to read element nodal forces from rst file.
The model contains a few elements with merged nodes (Screenshot attached below):
I presume that if the model contains elements that have merged nodes then the operator is not able to handle them.
Can someone help me in resolving this issue?
Thanks

@AKD-Scripting-Team Could someone help here? Many thanks

@Samukham this looks an issue on the server side, please log a ticket via standard Ansys Technical Support. This might need investigation of your model.
Please mention which DPF server version you are using.
