Group spring contact in mechanical python scripting

Hello,
I am writing a python script for mechanical. In the code I generate some spring contacts but I am having troubles trying to group them in one contact group.
I can do the operation manually, but I can't figure out how to do it programmatically.
I could not find any API to do that simple operation and if I try to record when I group them manually, no code is generated.
