Connection group, scoping method: named selction; named selections containing faces not selectable

Why is it not possible to select named selections containing faces when trying to create contacts in a connection group? The drop-down menu seems to filter those kind of NS and only shows NS containing bodies. Is there a workaround for this using ACT/APDL/JS?

The background is that I have some faces of bodies which I want to exclude from the contact search.

@Matthias This is not possible, we normally first do automatic contact definitions and then use script to exclude faces.

You can submit an enhancement via technical support for mechanical feature.
