ANSYS Fluent Meshing Error 61871 - Type Mismatch

Hi everyone,

I'm encountering an error when trying to generate a mesh in ANSYS Fluent. I get Error 61871: Type Mismatch - JavaScript Runtime Error, with a message related to ghandler treehandler remove and fill childnotes parentnode.

I’ve tried re-registering jscript.dll and vbscript.dll, renaming the ANSYS settings folder in AppData, and running sfc /scannow, but the issue persists. Has anyone else faced this, or know a fix?

Thanks in advance!

    Hi @kboreda1 ,

Try closing all Fluent sessions and clearing the AppData on your machine. Alternatively, rename the Ansys version folder located at:

    C:\Users\Name\AppData\Roaming\Ansys\ (e.g., rename v241 to v241.old).

Then, reopen Fluent and retry again.

This is not the right forum to post, but still, I could suggest you the solution which might workaround

@kboreda1 , I think you image is not a fluent meshing interface. It's a Mechanical Interface.

@kboreda1 , as @Naveen Kumar Begari pointed out, this forum is dedicated to scripting questions, whereas your issue is related to installation. Please use this forum instead: https://innovationspace.ansys.com/forum/
