Creating Result showing necking on wire

Hi,

the Ansys support suggested to ask for a solution in this forum.
I have a LS dyna simulation where I press down a wire (solid model). The tool creates notches in the wire and the same time the wire is bended into an S shape. I´m interested in the wire thickness, without the bending, at the end of the simulation. With LS PP I´m able to measure the distance for one pair of nodes, but I need a plot over the whole length of the wire . I´m working in the workbench with LS dyna and would like to include a Python code, which evaluates the thickness(distance nodes) over the length.

The displacement is in Y direction, so the other directions can be neglected.
The nodes at the top and the bottom can selected by a named selection.

How does a Python code for that would look like?"

Hello, thanks for your question @Falk, would you be able to include any code you've tried already or elaborate on exactly what you're after here?
