Matlab License Issue

Hi,

I am running into an error trying to connect ZOS-API with MATLAB. I am told by my organization that we have a license for ZOS-API, but when I connect I am getting a license error.

Any suggestions?

Hi @Phoo I am not sure how much we can help as this doesn't seem to be a scripting problem. However, it could be.

I would, however, first check exactly which license it is checking out and whether or not that is the up-to-date license your org has. Maybe the license is for a different zemax version?

Hi @Phoo. Which version of OpticStudio and Matlab are you using? There is a known issue with OpticStudio 25R1 and Matlab R2024. Either updating Matlab to R2024b Update 5 (not Update 4 or Update 6) or downgrading to OpticStudio 24R2 should fix this problem. Note if you have to update your Matlab, you might need to reinstall OpticStudio 25R1 to re-establish the proper Windows Registry entry to connect OpticStudio to Matlab.
