Different results between 2d and 3d Simulations in Ansys Maxwell

I am getting different Flux linkage values between 2D and 3D Simulations. A deviation of 2-3% is already expected and also justified, but what I get is factor 2.8 times smaller (Flux in 3D is more than 2.8 times smaller than in 2D). I have already many times checked the winding but still have no clue, why there is such a huge difference.
Has anyone else also encountered such problem? What can be the possible solution?
