We are trying to integrate the RF Channel Modeler (RFCM) into HFSS directly, without relying on AGI STK. All our indoor and outdoor models were built using SBR+ in HFSS. So far, we have made multiple unsuccessful attempts and would appreciate assistance.
Environment:
HFSS 2025 and 2024
Ansys_RF_Channel_Modeler_Plugin_v12.10.0
What we are doing:
In HFSS, we are running dynamic simulations using the SBR+ solver with a parametric sweep to vary the position of a vehicle over time along a defined path and speed.
We attempted to use the ACT extension but were unsuccessful. Based on our research, the ACT extension seems to require AGI STK to function.
We have not yet tried using scripts.
Why we want to avoid STK:
We have not run any simulations with STK because it requires importing all geometries, materials, and other setup details from HFSS, which is a lengthy process. Our preference is to open our models directly in HFSS and run RFCM within HFSS without needing STK integration.
Any guidance or examples on how to achieve this workflow would be greatly appreciated.
