Hello everyone,
I'm a beginner with Ansys and still getting familiar with its basic functionalities. I'm trying to simulate the movement of ions under an external electric field.
I have successfully visualized the electric field using Ansys Electronics Desktop, as shown in the images here:

Now, I want to use this exact electric field and geometry to simulate how ion particles, initially placed at the anode, would move. Specifically, I would like to determine:
The trajectory and motion paths of the ions.
The ion density distribution in a specific region of the simulation domain.
I understand that this type of particle-tracking simulation might be possible within the Ansys Workbench environment, but I am not sure about the specific tools or workflow to use. I've been searching for tutorials or guides, but I haven't found anything directly related to ion motion in a pre-defined electric field.
Could anyone provide guidance on how to approach this? Any tutorials, video links, or step-by-step methodologies would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your time and expertise!
