How can I export the maximum and average Temperature results from several Named Selections automatic

In my Mechanical Model I have several Named Selections for which I want to get some temperature quantities. Specifically, from the thermal analysis I want to extract the maximum and average temperatures for each of the Named Selections. How can I automate this process?

It sounds like you could benefit from the automation of Mechanical Scripting. It's a Python-based language that can be accessed from Mechanical > Automation tab > Scripting. In the Mechanical Scripting panel that opens up, you can use scripts you develop that can access the objects from the Tree.

Below is a script which will:

1. Create a Temperature result in your first analysis in the Tree
2. Go through all the available Named Selections
3. Scope them to the created result
4. Extract the requested data
5. Delete the object after full evaluation
6. Generate a csv that will contain the desired info

If you have some basic Python knowledge, it should be fairly easy to modify according to your specific needs.
