The Python Code "Property Provider" tab is missing in the Mechanical GUI

Hello, I am fairly versed with Ansys Mechanical, Python, and scripting in general. I am running Ansys 2023 R2. I keep seeing mention of the "Property Provider" tab in the Python Code object in Mechanical, like in this post https://discuss.ansys.com/discussion/423/extract-mass-per-body-through-scripting

However, it does not show in my GUI. Instead of a "Script" and "Property Provider" tab, I see just a "Python Code" object. Is my installation borked, or is there a secret option to enable the Property Provider tab? Much thanks.

The strangest thing is I have done a full reinstall and it still does not work on my desktop PC. My laptop, however, correctly shows that highlighted tab as well as the shell editor in the Scripting panel to the right. So, I tried to narrow down what it could be and I am still very confused. I am running Ansys 2023 R2, with licensing from my institution.

VPN issues? I am an undergrad university student, and I do the majority of my work off-campus, connected to the school via VPN so I can access the license server. Possibly, it could be that the VPN is limiting functions, so I tested my laptop on campus, off campus, with VPN, and without. My laptop showed the Property Provider in all 4 combinations.
Previous installs on PC. I have tried completely wiping Ansys off my PC and reinstalling fresh. This does not seem to fix the problem at all. Maybe there's a residual file somewhere that's borking the GUI.

If you need any log files, point me the way and I will be happy to provide them. Thanks for your support.

This is likely an installation issue, which the scripting forum is unlikely to be able to help debug. I'd recommend posting in this other forum: https://innovationspace.ansys.com/forum/ or contacting your local support provider.
One thing you can try before, though: reset your settings:

close all Ansys applications
go to the %appdata% directory, enter the Ansys folder, and then rename the folder vXXX (replace XXX by version number you are using) and rename it into vXXX_old
go to the %temp% directory and delete its content
reopen Workbench and check if the problem has been resolved

It was the last thing I expected; I have a 4K monitor and that somehow was disabling those GUI options. However, setting the display scale to 100% for all apps makes the display hard to read. Is there a way to apply that scaling option to Ansys only?

I appreciate the quick help! In the meantime, where would be a good place to ask questions regarding python output parameterization of natural frequencies from a Topology Optimization? Thanks so much

Hello @Austin_Prevette , glad to hear that fixed it.
Regarding 100% only for WB or Mechanical, could you try the below.

Switch scaling back to 125%
Change application properties. In Explorer or on the Start menu, right-click the application name (Try for WB first. If it doesn't work, also Mechanical), select Properties, select the Compatibility tab, and then select the Disable display scaling on high DPI settings check box.
