How can I cut a part from a solid body in Ansys spaceclaim?

Hi there,

I am trying to create a porous media structure that contains solid and liquid phases with smooth edges. So, first, I created the porous region and enclosed this region in a cube box. Now, I need to cut the extended sections of porous media from the edges of the cube box. To do so, I used cut/ split operation in Ansys spaceclaim, using a plate, but it does not work on this geometry that I have and I get split body error. Could anybody please guide me on how to achieve this?

If you have a scripting question please include some details regarding code you have tried and documentation you have already considered.
