How do I average over entities using DPF?

I want to find the average temperature of a Surface for each time point. There is an operator average_over_label. But the label is "Time". I don't want to average over time, I want a spatial average.

I assume you want an average based on something like area or volume instead of based on number of nodes or elements?

There is also the concept of averaging on original area bs instantaneous area as this changes over time.

Yes, area or volume weighted would be ideal. But my mesh is pretty uniform so even an arithmetic mean would be ok. This would match the data reported in almost all plots in Mechanical. It reports Max, Min and Average. The average in these plots is an arithmetic mean
